Story-Based Inquiry (SBI) is the most widely used investigative journalism method in the world. It treats investigation as a single process, from idea to delivery, with the story at the center. Along the way, we save time and anguish, and create assets for the next project. In this session we'll look at the basic SBI tools -- hypotheses, timelines, source maps, and a masterfile that keeps the data together -- through rapid exercises. This will be an interactive session, using participants' ideas.
